Hey Thriftanistas,
This weekend, I experienced the perfect mid-day date. In December, I purchased tickets for my husband and I to attend a Thai Cooking Class at Phuket. I’m not too fond of Asian cuisine but I’m all about experiencing new things. Considering restaurant kitchens can be very hot, I wanted to wear something appropriate.
I opted to wear a casual striped front tie shirt and a pair of Old Navy jeans. I picked this shirt up from the thrift store for $1 and the light-weight fabric worked well for the class. If you are a hot-natured individual, I would ditch the long-sleeves because you will be wearing an apron as well.
We prepared two delicious meals: Fiery Grilled Beef Salad and Pad Thai. The Fiery Grilled Beef Salad was fairly easy to assemble at our stations and very flavorful. The Pad Thai was actually prepared in the kitchen with 2 other couples. Can you say it’s getting hot in here! Nonetheless, the meal was just as mouthwatering as the salad.
Overall, I really enjoyed the class and I would recommend anyone in the Huntsville area to give it a try!
Have you attended a cooking class? If so, how was your experience?
