Happy Memorial Day Thriftanistas!

For many people, Memorial Day is more about a long weekend, a BBQ with family and time to capitalize on all the retail sales.  However, as a current Soldier, Memorial Day is about taking a moment to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.  With all the Memorial Day events happening in Huntsville, I opted for a casual look.  Details on this look inside….

I really wanted to incorporate the colors of the American Flag without overdoing it.  So when I spotted these Keds shoes at Value Village for $3 I knew they would be the perfect starting point.  I added a striped thrifted shirt from my closet with a few accessories and voila!  I was able to create a casual Memorial Day look!
