Hey Thriftanistas!
Can you believe it’s the day before Thanksgiving? Where did time go? I haven’t planned my dinner menu nor shopped for any of the items. This year, I have been away from home traveling a lot and for the holidays I just wanted to relax. So when a few of my church members extended the invitation for my husband and I to celebrate with them I jumped at the offer! We agreed to bring the desserts and the only thing I have to worry about is what I’m going to wear! Since I don’t have time to raid the thrift stores, I decided to shop my own closet for last minute outfit ideas. Check out three different looks you can create with things that already hanging in your closet!
Little Black Dress
It’s timeless, chic and we all own at least one black dress. Additionally, it’s the perfect outfit to wear to any holiday party. This weekend, I wore this little black dress to the Margarita Ball in Huntsville. If it’s a work-related or church event opt for something less glamorous. Nonetheless, you can never go wrong with a little black dress.
The Jumpsuit
A jumpsuit has always been my favorite thing to wear and easiest way to get dressed up. Opt for a tailored-style that flatters your figure, add some simple accessories, and you’re ready to go!
Blazer + Jeans + Heels
I consider this style combination my uniform. It works for running errands, brunch with friends, and casual Fridays at work. It allows you to be presentable without being overdressed. To make it work for the holiday opt for blazers that contain plaid or pair a graphic tee for the occasion.
Did I mention all of these outfits are from the thrift store?
Was this helpful? What are you wearing for Thanksgiving?
